Spacesmith’s design for the NYPD Brooklyn Tow Pound Operations in the Brooklyn Navy Yard transforms the unpleasant task of retrieving an impounded vehicle into a lesson in civic identity and an example of how to elevate a public facility into a thoughtful, attractive, and sustainable design. The scope of work included a new 2-story, 11,000 sf building, a vehicle impound lot, access roadways, entrance gate, and retaining walls.
