Lucas Moros

Access to inclusive and beautifully designed spaces can have strong impacts on cities and even one’s personal outlook on the future.

Yerba Buena Park, the Museum of Modern Art, the California Academy of Sciences—these are a few of the cultural sites and institutions that Lucas Moros frequented throughout his childhood. He credits his design trajectory to his experiences in these spaces, coming to understand at a young age how impactful they can be on both individual and community scales.

A native of Berkeley, California, Lucas considers local context a driving force in concept and design development. His work prioritizes comfort and details to reflect a high level of care. Using materials and finishes as storytelling devices to tie together overarching project themes, he creates spaces in which every element plays a meaningful role.

Lucas earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental design from the University of Colorado at Boulder. During undergrad, he studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where his curriculum centered around parametric design, digital fabrication, and sustainable construction methods. In his free time, he uses his graphic design skills to pursue creative projects such as zines and screenprints.
