Lauren Henry

I strive to design for fairness and to support the needs of my community in everything I do.

Lauren Henry is driven by a desire to address the needs of communities through architecture and design. As part of her undergraduate curriculum, she worked with a nonprofit to reimagine a street in downtown Syracuse, ultimately developing a program, plans, and renderings. This experience strengthened her interest in community engagement and involvement throughout the design process.

Prior to joining Spacesmith, Lauren gained experience at a hybrid brokerage-design firm. While there, she conducted workplace test fits prioritizing flexibility and future growth; designed custom furniture with equal focus on aesthetics and ergonomics; and developed realistic renderings for the new headquarters of a luxury jewelry label.

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in environmental and interior design with a minor in art history from Syracuse University.
