Kim Wood
AIA

One of my skills is being able to see the big picture, evaluate, and take action to bring us to our goal: creating incredible spaces for our clients.

Clients know Kim Wood for her ability to push projects forward under complicated conditions and aggressive timeframes. With almost two decades of experience in commercial and corporate interiors and project management, she adds a wealth of knowledge to the firm.

Her meticulous methodology when it comes to project schedules and checklists keeps her teams organized even when collaborating with multiple consultants or managing complex phased builds. Since joining Spacesmith in 2020, she has been instrumental in multiple adaptive reuse projects.

As project manager for Upriver Studios’ new production facility in Saugerties, her contributions transformed a 104,000-square-foot factory building into a robust studio that prioritizes flexibility. Her work with Talbott & Arding Cheese and Provisions resulted in a state-of-the-art food production facility and retail space, all housed within a former warehouse in Hudson. Kim enjoys the process of finding new purpose for buildings and all the discovery and research that come with it.

Kim’s professional achievements are aided by her passion for people. She puts her experience to use not only working with clients, but also training the next generation of project managers as the leader of Spacesmith’s Project Delivery committee.
