Earlier this week, the Spacesmith leadership team held an off-site retreat in Hudson, NY. It was one in a series of town hall meetings and full day retreats this year, led by Karen Walker, of One Team Consulting. The ultimate goal is to develop the skills and knowledge to be effective leaders of the firm.

The retreat was full of introspection, team building, role playing, marketing strategies, and learning business development techniques. While we were out of the office for the day, our thoughts and discussions always returned to our colleagues and team members in the office. Business Development is an important skillset we should all master. Without it, we could not sustain the firm financially, and continue to do the great work that we do.
