Spacesmith is proud to be collaborating with KieranTimberlake on the new Bancroft Fulton Residence Hall at the University of California, Berkeley—a much-needed ground-up student housing project that will provide 1,600 beds for Berkeley students.

As the interior design partner, Spacesmith is leading the design of all shared and communal areas throughout the building. Our scope includes vibrant student lounges distributed across the residence halls, a two-level dining facility with seating for 500 students, and a range of purpose-driven spaces that support student life and well-being.

These include a communal kitchen, academic center, fitness center, and multiple lounge zones—all thoughtfully designed to foster connection, comfort, and community.
