Located on the top floor of one of New York's prime residential buildings, the design of this luxurious apartment for an international businessman exemplifies modern detailing and quality execution and provides an elegant container for an expanding art collection. The three bedroom three bathroom apartment in just 2,500 square feet enjoys breathtaking views of Central Park. The plan creates two distinct areas for living and sleeping. A wood panel that discretely slides into the wall defines the transition between spaces. The layout takes full advantage of the building's diagonal floor plan, optimizing perimeter glazing and minimizing walls. The design of the living spaces confirms the sense of openness, allowing for the constant enjoyment of the owners rich and diverse art collection and the spectacular NYC skyline. Similarly, the design of the private areas complements the dialogue between interior and exterior spaces, as the Master Bathroom tub strategically faces Columbus Circle. The project team included Studio Arthur Casas of Sao Paulo / NY as design architect, also responsible for the selection of the furniture and finishes.
